FPSC Candidates Left Stranded Outside Exam Centers After Mismanagement Reports
Federal Public Service Commission faced strong criticism after dozens of candidates were reportedly left stranded outside exam centers on the first day of the revised General Recruitment Test Phase-I/2026 schedule.
According to reports, one of the major incidents occurred at Ali Abbas Shaheed Model College in Islamabad’s G-6/2 sector, where candidates arrived for their FPSC exams but staff members allegedly had no clear information regarding the scheduled tests.
The FPSC written exams were originally planned from April 25 to May 6 but were later rescheduled from May 9 to May 20, 2026, through an official public notice.
Friday, May 9 marked the first day of the revised examination schedule. However, candidates claimed they received no proper guidance despite the college being listed as an official exam center.
Videos circulating on social media showed frustrated applicants gathered outside examination venues, accusing authorities of poor management and lack of coordination.
Reports suggest the issue was not limited to Islamabad, as candidates from other cities also complained about confusion and management problems at assigned centers.
Many students reportedly traveled long distances to appear in the FPSC recruitment exams and were left uncertain about whether the tests would actually take place.
